Introducing Virtual Gallery Showings

Backstory of 'Lake Maurepas in Pastels'

This week I introduced my Virtual Gallery Showings, in which I tell the backstory and inspiration behind my fine-art photography photos.

The concept is really simple: Each gallery showing will feature one photograph, and I'll talk about how I captured it, share behind-the-scene stories and then walk through the print options on my online gallery.

The first to be featured was "Lake Maurepas in Pastels," a beautiful sunrise photo showing a single cypress tree against a tableau of pastel clouds. It has proved to be one of my most-popular prints, so it made sense to start with it.

Lake Maurepas is one of my favorite swamp photo locations, since it's located near my South Louisiana home and is an wonderful example of the diverse beauty found in the swamps.

I'll hold these Virtual Gallery Showings once each week, choosing a new print for each session.

Showings are held live on my Facebook page, so be sure to jump over and follow the page so you don't miss a single one — and if you have a favorite photo from my gallery that you'd like more information about, please shoot me an email and let me know. I'd love to share the story with you!
