I finished up a Bassmaster fishing tournament in late July in Upstate New York and, despite being dead tired from the four days on the water, I headed for the juncture of Lake Ontario and the St. Lawrence River — where the cool 19th century Tibbetts Point Lighthouse stands.
The old lighthouse remains an important navigational beacon, and the sunset created a wonderful background for the lighthouse.
I arrived and set up an hour early, watching as others came and went.
Finally, the sun lighted up the horizon, and some clouds created some interest in the sky above the old tender's house.
The beautiful photo was a great way to cap off my trip to Clayton, New York.
