A sky over the old St. Clair River Lighthouse turns pastel shades orange during a sunrise. The stone lighthouse was completed in 1859 to mark the entrance to one of the channels of the river, but was abandoned in 1907 when the channel was rendered obsolete by improvements to the river's entrance. It has been placed on the National Register of Historic Places.
