This old barn in Pocahontas County, W.V., was built in 1945 after N.W. Shaw moved his family to the little town of Edray. I was shooting photos of the barn when an elderly man working across the street greeted me and told me all about the farm. Turns out he is N.W Shaw Jr., and remembers well the building of this barn. The cool thing is that the property remains in the family to this day. The barn, maintained now by the current owner and nephew of Mr. Shaw, is one of the most photographed barns in the county - and there are a lot of great barns around that area.
